Robin Felix created the Felix Design Studio & Day Retreat out of his passion for having YOU look fabulous! Although his look and attitude are decidedly “young”, his more than 25 years of experience with “hair from all walks of life” (actors, politicians, athletes, executives, housewives, mothers and models), and his exceptional around-the-world training are evident with every snip, dab and do. His creativity, skill and enormous talent for cutting, coloring and combing are intensified by his genuine love for what he does and an uncanny ability to uncover what each client wants and needs. As you walk toward his chair, Robin naturally does a visual body scan. For Robin your hair does not stand-alone; it is part of the whole package that is you. What he creates for you must be completely in sync with who you are – personality and lifestyle. As he gets to know you – and you him, you find yourself relaxing into the warm atmosphere of his studio, feeling at home and trusting that this man gets whom you are. It is not just his job, it is his passion. Early in his career, Robin was flown to New York to do make-overs on “Good Morning America”. Viewers immediately recognized his talent and began requesting his “chair”. On the show, Robin created his now signature lifestyle looks for each of his guests. As a child, she loved to brush her friends’ long hair and spent hours perfectly trimming their bangs with a small pair of blunt, paper-cutting scissors… Katie Hong was destined to be a cosmologist. Katie will size up the symmetry of your face and design a new look for you – or put a fresh spin on the hair you currently wear. She delights in working all ages and especially loves the challenge of doing a “re-set” on the mind of an older woman who has always been stuck on “shampoo and set”. Although she cherishes the years that she owned a salon, she is absolutely delighted to be stress free and concentrating on her clients and fun - rather than clean towels and electric bills. Desi Geronimo is the Valentino of hair - an artist, a free spirit, and an innovator. Desi, who intuitively finds art and beauty everywhere, has spent over 30 years perfecting his craft and is still open to “what’s next”. For Desi, the learning never stops.
Desi used to be an athlete and, just as he did in his sporting days, he works to master all of the basics and stay at the top of his game – every aspect of it. His latest game is “Wash ‘n Wear hair” – only possible when the cut and style are championship quality. For Desi, designing your style is “Pure Art”. Sidney Cramer looks like the boy next door and he could be that… if you lived next door to Clark Kent! Oh, sure, he seems mild mannered and harmless, but this superman is truly the superhero of skin care; more powerful than a bad case of acne; able to moisture skin in a single visit… (You get the idea, don’t you?) Sidney has been honing his craft since the mid 80’s when dermatology failed him and he went to an esthetician for acne treatment. That was Christine Valmy and the rest is history as he moved from a part-time job to help pay for his treatments to salon manager. Sidney studied and apprenticed (European style) and worked with a world famous facial surgeon who developed very well-known, major skin care products. Sidney was naturally chosen to launch those products around the globe. Sidney, who, in 2007 was voted “Best Facialist in Los Angeles”, does fierce brows and great facials (with a wonderful mini-massage thrown in for good measure). He’s very goal oriented and, for best results, just tell him what you want. Sidney is the “Skin Coach”. He’ll get you started and then tell you exactly what to do and how to do it. Your job is to follow through on your skin care workout routine. An hour with Sidney is a mini vacation in paradise… it is a party for your skin! |

Cecilia Mongrain is hair stylist and colorist with a passion for bringing her clients into the present! Whether she is getting an older client out of the ‘set and style rut’ or ‘funk-a-fying’ young male clients (who all seem to get married after she does their hair), Cecilia loves to see the smiles that follow the transformations. Whether her client wants a simple modification, drastic changes (she doesn’t believe that the right side necessarily has to match the left), or a special ‘look’ for that special event, Cecilia is ready to cut (she loves the layers and movement), texturize, color or style… And she is FAST! Working women – and those of us who have trouble sitting still – really like that about her. Cecilia enjoys the clients who want her to design a completely new look with a drastic change… and the clients who know what they want and tell her. Both are equally pleased with their results. Sitting in Cecilia’s chair is a wonderful and relaxing experience (she’s a concentrator and very quiet as she works). Moreover, she is so pretty and perky that just watching her is a treat! |

Amy craves new ideas, so feel free to bring her an “I’d like my hair to look like this” photo; she enjoys change and challenge. Amy, a graduate of the Sassoon Academy ABC Cutting Course, loves to cut hair (A-line to bob and everything in between), and her absolute PASSION is highlights and color. She is constantly taking classes and courses to stay in the “now”… and be in the know… about the newest ideas and directions of style and fashion. Need product advice? She knows her products, too. Be prepared to have fun with this “Tigger-like” stylist – and you may just find a new best friend in the process. |
